Starting at Daytona International Speedway in February, Smith will attempt to qualify for his second career NCS start and first Daytona 500, driving the No. 36 Wellcare Ford Mustang. Centene will be the primary sponsor for Smith’s part-time 2023 NCS plans, with five races planned at Phoenix Raceway, Talladega Superspeedway, Sonoma Raceway, Texas Motor Speedway, and Charlotte Motor Speedway.

In addition to NCS primary sponsorship, Centene will feature Ambetter Health as the primary sponsor of Smith’s NCTS truck at Miami-Homestead Speedway in October, and will provide full season associate sponsorship for Smith’s NCTS truck and NCS car. The partnership will also allow Smith to gain valuable experience in the NCS, while defending his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship.

Centene has a long history in NASCAR, serving as a healthcare partner of Speedway Motorsports and a race track sponsor across several properties. The company is excited to partner with Front Row Motorsports and Zane Smith to further connect with racing fans and educate them on their mission to transform the health of local communities.

“We want to welcome Centene Corporation to Front Row Motorsports,” said Bob Jenkins, owner of Front Row Motorsports. “This partnership allows us to move Zane up into the NASCAR Cup Series part-time and continue his growth while helping us defend our NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship. We’re excited for the year ahead.”
